Crepes is one of the most well liked of recent trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It’s easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Crepes is something which I’ve loved my entire life.
To get started with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can have crepes using 7 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Crepes:
- Prepare 2 cups All purpose Flour
- Prepare 2 Eggs
- Get 1/4 Cup Sugar
- Get Pinch Salt
- Make ready Vanilla extract (optional)
- Make ready 1 1/2 Cup Milk
- Make ready Butter or Vegetable Oil
Add veggies for a savory version; use chocolate and berries for dessert. Crêpe batter must be rested in order to produce light, delicate crêpes. A half-hour to an hour on the counter is fine, but overnight in the refrigerator is even better. I share many different ways to serve them below!
Steps to make Crepes:
- I like mixing my butter with a blender. Easy and saves time. Pour flour, salt, sugar, egg, vanilla extract milk and butter or veggie oil into the blender. Mix until smooth, not thick or too thin. Just the right consistency,
- Put a cube or less of butter/ margarine into a heating pan, not too much, just enough to coat the pan. Butter works best because of its huge flavor, and makes the crepes or pancakes taste yummy. You can use vegetable oil as well. Lightly pour the batter mixture (easy to use the 1/4 measuring cup for even size crepes) Swirl the pan to evenly coat the pan. Cook until the crepe is golden turn and cook the other side the same. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the batter.
- Serve while hot with fruits of choice. I like to fold like in the picture and tuck in bananas (saw the trick on food network 😜) You can sprinkle marple syrup or honey as well and enjoy.
- I add vanilla extract to ‘chase’ away the egg smell or taste. This way, I can eat even when cold.
Homemade French crêpes are so much fun and surprisingly easy to make using a simple blender batter and a nonstick skillet. Crepes are a tasty, versatile treat. Once you master making the basic crepe, you can fill it with different ingredients to make it a sweet dessert or savory dinner. You can do SO much with a crepe. I tried this, but I used the single crepe recipe.
