Healthy turkey chili made with lean ground turkey, kidney beans and corn. This version is simply the BEST! Just wanted to say I made this chilli today using leftover cooked turkey and it was absolutely gorgeous.

  1. Make ready 332 g 7% turkey thigh mince, or meat free alternative,
  2. Get 1 tin reduced salt/sugar baked beans, (420g),
  3. Take 1 red bell pepper, chopped into bite sized pieces, seeds removed
  4. Take 160 g chopped closed cap mushrooms,
  5. Get 1 onion, sliced,
  6. Prepare 2 handfuls baby leaf spinach, chopped,
  7. Take 1 tbsp tomato pureé paste,
  8. Prepare 3-4 dashes Worcester sauce,
  9. Get 1 chicken stockcube,
  10. Take Pinch red chilli flakes to taste,
  11. Take 1 tsp dried oregano,
  12. Prepare 2/3 rds level tsp hot chilli powder,
  13. Prepare 1 level tsp garlic granules,
  14. Take 1 tbsp malt vinegar,
  15. Prepare Salt and pepper to season,
  16. Make ready 300 ml water,
  17. Get Vegetable oil spray for frying
  18. Prepare To garnish:
  19. Get Fresh coriander (optional)

Add the green pepper and saute briefly. Healthy Turkey Chilli made with Lean Ground turkey and fiber rich beans and vegetables. This product does not have any reviews yet. Cooked with a montreal dry steak seasoning I use with turkey.

Instructions to make Lean Turkey Chilli 🌶️:
  1. Heat a large saucepan up over a medium to high heat and spray in some oil. Once hot add the onions, mushrooms and red pepper. Season with salt and pepper. Stir and add in the malt vinegar. Fry for a few minutes until the onion softens.
  2. Add in the oregano, chilli powder, tomato paste and garlic granules. Stir to coat the veg. Fry for another 2 minutes.
  3. Crumble in the stock cube. Add the baked beans and pour in a few dashes of Worcester sauce. Sprinkle in red chilli flakes to taste depending on how hot you like it. Pour in the water and turn the heat down and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the spinach leaves and wilt them down into the chilli. Place a lid over the saucepan and simmer on a low to medium heat for around 15 minutes, returning to stir occasionally.
  5. Serve up with your choice of sides or just enjoy it alone in a bowl, it's lovely with some grated cheese on top. :)
