  3. Now add all spices and mix well and cook for 4-5 mins. Add three cups of water and soaked rice and lentils. Add coriander leaves. Close the lid and cook for 3 whistles.
  4. Open the lid when pressure gets released. Mix aachari masala according to your taste and serve with ghee. Aachari masala gives a different and unique taste to masala khichdi. Serve hot with papad.
  5. Note: add red chilli powder accordingly as achari masala is also spicy.
