I have been getting few requests for Snacks using Oats from my readers and hence I had come up with an Oats Tikki recipe which is an easy and healthy snack. Rinse poha twice and drain the water completely. Wash, peel the skin and grate carrot finely. I have a pack of Oats and i wanted to try out something new recipe with Oats, other than the Oats Upma and Oats Idli.
Instructions to make Poha and oats tikki with hummus:
- Take a bowl, into it, add soaked poha and oats, onion, garlic (2-3 chopped), ginger, green chilli, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, some boiled chickpeas (mashed)and mix it all very well.
- Heat some oil in a pan. Make tikki according to your size preference and stir fry it.
- Switch off the flame and keep it aside.
- For hummus
- Into a mixer, add boiled chickpeas, sesame powder, olive oil (1/4 cup), salt, garlic, lemon juice and cumin powder and grind it into fine paste.
- Top it with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, your hummus is ready.
- Now you can serve poha and oats tikki with hummus.
