- Soak the chickpeas over nite at least 12 to 18 hrs
- Take the chcikpeas,add the bakong soda,garlic pods and water and pressure cook for 6 to 8 whistles
- Once cool open and remove the chickpeas and separate the garlic pods
- Remove the skin of the chickpeas,they will easily come off due to the addition of baking soda
- Mix the salt and lemonj juice and let the salt melt in it
- Put the chickpeas and the garlic in the processor
- Start processing it,once the salt is dissolved in the lemon juice,slowly pour the juice in the chickpeas
- Let the processor run
- Now add the tahina and cold water slowly slowly one at a time till you you see the hummus is turned all fluffy
- Remove in a bowl
- Add fresh hand torn basil.leaves and mix
- Garnish with olive oil and zeera powder
- Enjoy with bread,pita
