  1. Firstly, heat a pan. saute chana dal to light golden brown.add dried red chilli.
  2. Saute well till the chillis turn crisp.
  3. Take a bowl add this dal and chilis add water soak 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Now transfer to the blender. - blend to smooth paste adding water as required.
  5. Now take a pan heat oil and tempering mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves add red paste. Add salt and red chilli powder mix well.
  6. Red chutney is ready to serve with dosa.

Using Byadige Red Chili variety adds wonderful color plus spiciness to this chutney if you don't find Byadige variety then it's find use your regular red chili, I. Red capsicum chutney is full of flavours, attractive colour as we add tomatoes along with it. Garlic and the tempering adds aroma to the chutney perfect side dish for idli, dosa. Capsicum chutney is totally new to me, had no clue about this chutney. I always love the colourful capsicum and tempted to buy it.
