I prefer to use vegetables for making chutney for. Red bell peppers are matured green bell peppers and when bell pepper ages, not only the color but the flavor also changes. This favorite chutney of mine is prepared by roasting red bell peppers, onion and dried red chillies and by blending them including peanuts, jaggery and tamarind juice. Roasted bell peppers are seasoned with olive oil, garlic, oregano, and crushed red peppers.

  1. Roast red bell pepper on gas.
  2. Put roasted bell pepper on air tight container for 5 minutes.
  3. After 5 minutes remove the skin of red bell pepper and chop it roughly.Blanch tomato and chop it.
  4. Now combine all the other ingredients and grind them coarsely or finely..adjust spices according to your flavors.
  5. Red bell pepper chutney is ready.Enjoy this smoky and delicious chutney with Nachos, lavash, patties, samosas etc.
